Day 1 : Journey begins from Sealdah (Kolkata).to New Jalpaiguri (NJP).
Day 2 : NJP to Tumling, on the way visiting Mirik, Manebhanjang, Chitrey,Tonglu. Night stay at Tumling.
Day 3 : Tumling to Sandakphu, on the way visiting Via Gairibas, Kaiyakata, Kalipokhri. Night stay at Sandakphu.
Day 4 : Excursion for Phalut (Falut). Night stay Sandakphu.

# Sealdah Railway Station -
~ Activities : Journey begins from Sealdah (Kolkata) to New Jalpaiguri (NJP). Night at Train.
Our Sandakphu tour package from Kolkata will commence from Sealdah Station, where all of us will meet each other and board the train for New Jalpaiguri(NJP).
Usually, we will be boarding either Darjeeling Mail, Uttarbanga Express or Kanchankanya Express based on availability.
# Journey start for NJP to Tumling -
~ Activities : on the way visiting Mirik, Manebhanjang, Chitrey,Tonglu.
Night stay at Tumling.
The next day, after arriving at NJP/IXB/ Siliguri, we will have a “meet and greet” session with everyone on the Sandhakphu tour along with our company representatives.
Next from there, we will be picked up by a reserved car and driven to Chitrey.
On our way, we will visit Mirik, Simana, Sukhiapokhri. The total distance is around 82 kilometers, and it will take us about 4-5 hours to reach there.
We may take a halt near Mirik Lake and taste refreshing Darjeeling tea. After a long 3.5 hoursof journey, we will arrive at Tumling, where we will stop for the day.
Just around the corner, you will see the gate of Singalia National Park, one of the most renowned National Parks for Red Panda Expedition. Here, you will get the chance to freshen up, unwind, and spend some time in the laps of nature.
On our way to reach here, we will also visit the Chitrey Monastery, from where you will have a spell-binding view of Darjeeling city. In the entire Sandakphu route, as well as in our whole Sandakphu tour plan, Tonglu and Tumling are especially famous amongst travelers for their magnificent view of the Kangchenjunga range.
We will stay the night at Tumling in a homestay that is well equipped with all the basic amenities you needand especially famous for its delicious food.
# Tumling to Sandakphu -
~ on the way visiting Via gairibas, Kaiyakata, Kalipokhri.
Night stay at Sandakphu.
On our next day’s Sandakphu tour plan, we will start early in the morning.
If the weather stays in our favor, we will walk to the viewpoint early morning and enjoy the beautiful glimpses of the famous Sleeping Buddha, Kangchenjunga, and Mount Everest range.
After having some tasty breakfast, we will start our day’s journey towards Sandakphu. On our way, we will be visiting many enthralling places such as Gairibas, Kaiyakata, Kalapokhri, Bekhebhanjang by Landrover. This is one of the key attractions of our Sandakphu Land Rover package tour.
After arriving at Garibas, which will take approximately an hour, we will take a little bitof rest - have some tea and lip-smacking Momo.
With another 7-kilometer drive, we will reach Kalapokhri, the last village before Sandakphu. Here, we will make a halt and let you enjoy some time near the holy lake. This will be our last halt before we take the 6-7 km uphill drive to Sandakphu.After reaching Sandakphu, you will have your rooms ready to check-in and get freshen up. Here, you will get the chance to climb up to the rocky point of Sandakphu, which is the highest point of West Bengal, another key attraction of our Sandakphu tour package.
In the evening, we shall enjoy the magnificent sunset on the Kangchenjunga and many other snow-covered peaks from Sandakphu top.
We will stay for the night at Sandakphu home stay after having a warm and tasty dinner.
# Excursion for Phalut -
~ Excursion to Phalut by Land Rover, Night stay at Sandakphu.
The next day, we will again start our journey early morning and witness the unforgettable sunrise on the Majestic Everest - Kangchenjunga Range from the nearest viewpoint.
This will give you the chance to have a spectacular view of four 8000 meter peaks and many 7000-6000 meter peaks, the Himalayan part of Bhutan – Nepal and Singalila ridge.
With some luck on your side, you might even get to see the very famous "Sea of clouds".
After finishing our breakfast, we will start our day’s journey toward the main attraction of our Sandakphu land rover package tour. On this day, we will travel 21 kilometers on Landrover and reach Phalut. On our way, we will do Sandakphu sightseeing and visit places like Sabargram, Molle, and the Phalut Route Pass through the Singalila ridge.
This ride will allow you to enjoy the wide valley and Kangchenjunga range all along the route. We will take a halt near the Molle forest check post, where you can take some rest and have warm, tasty tea to unwind.
We will be spending an hour at Phalut, and we are more than sure that this one-hour at Phalut will be one of your most amazing experiences that you will cherish forever. Being the second highest peak in West Bengal, elevation of Phalut is 3,595 meter or 11,811 feet. At one edge of Phalut, you will see West Bengal, on the other edge it is the beautiful Sikkim, and third edge is close to Nepal. The natural beauty of Phalut will indeed mesmerize you.
After capturing a lifetime experience at Phalut, we will make a trip back to Sandakphu by late noon.You can check back in your hotel in Sandakphu, take some rest and enjoy the sunset later at the magnificent Kangchenjunga and many more snow-covered peaks.
We will stay at Sandakphu for the night.
Sandakphu to NJP.
On the next day of our Sandakphu land rover package tour, we will again start early morning, where you will enjoy the mesmerizing sunrise on the Majestic Everest - Kangchenjunga Range from the Sandakphu viewpoint.
After finishing our breakfast, we will drive to Manebhanjang by Landrover, another great adventure of our Sandakphu tour package. After arriving at Manebhanjang, we will drive towards NJP / IXB / Siliguri in our reserved car for your onward journey by Train or Flight.

Return back to Sealdah Railway Station (Kolkata).
On the sixth day, we will reach Sealdah Railway Station.
Some Very Important Facts to Know About Our Sandakphu Land Rover Package Tour-
- If you wish to have the best view of nature and the entire Himalayan mountain range, then October to November and February to April is the Sandakphu best time to visit.
Please keep in mind that in Sandakphu in December till the end of March, the view is moderate, and from April, the sky starts getting foggy. So, ideally, the best time to go for a Sadakphu land rover package tour is between October to November.
- Yes, electricity is available in Sandakphu; however, you may face some voltage issues up there. Due to this, you may not get ageyser or room heater facility available in Sandakphu or Phalut.
Exceptions are there. For example, in the PWD Bungalow of the West Bengal Government, you will have no electricity in the daytime, but from the evening 6 pm to the next day morning at 8 am, you will have the facility. But, the only source of electricity is through solar power.
- You need to remember that the Sandakphu temperature is very cold, especially during the later part of the year. Plus, the high Sandakphu altitude also can cause breathing problems for kids and aged people.
Hence, it is advised that kids below 5 years and senior citizens above 65 years should avoid the Sandakphu trip. The temperature here can vary between Sub Zero to sometimes 8°Centigrade, and oxygen scarcity is quite noticeable. Anyone having heart or lungs related health issues should definitely consult a doctor before traveling to Sandakphu.
- If you are traveling to Sandakphu by Landrover jeep, it might take around 3 to 4 hours to reach Sandakphu from Manebhanjang. The last leg of the journey from Kalapokhri to Sandakphu is about 8 kilometers, which is vertically very steep and will take around an hour to reach.
- Winter (December – February) :
From early December, during the Sandakphu snowfall time, you will get snow here and feel a serious winter chill. Even if you stay in lower camps, you will still feel the frosty air with a sharp bite.Apart from that, you might even experience sub-zero temperature, even at your base camps in the evening.
Luckily, during day time, the weather will be suitable enough to do some trekking provided that the sun is out. The temperature will be around 8 – 12 degrees.
Things might not be so comfortable during the night since the temperature can drop below zero degrees. Make sure you wearsufficient warm clothes and stay in a tea-house.
- Spring (March – Mid April) :
During the springtime, you will feel that the winter is receding but not completely gone yet. You will be able to see patches of snow here and there on the ground. On upper slopes, snow will still be there.Except for exceptionally cold nights and that too at higher camps, you might not experience zero temperature; otherwise, it will be around 1-5 degrees.
During the daytime, the weather will be pleasant, and you will feel an average of 15 – 20 degrees. Only if the sun vanishes behind the clouds or it rains, the temperature might fall to around 10 degrees.
